Search of Shoplifter in Stafford Yields 5 Bags of Herion

Stafford:  On Tuesday September 25, 2012 Stafford Twp. Police arrested Christine Sandella, 29, of Lanoka Harbor for shoplifting, possession of cds and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Sandella was observed by store security at the TJ Maxx on Rt.72, concealing two Chi flat irons into her purse and exiting the store without purchasing them. She was stopped by security outside the store and escorted to the security office where police were contacted. Police arrived and placed Ms. Sandella under arrest for the shoplifting. As Ms. Sandella’s purse was searched, five bags of heroin and a straw containing residual heroin were found. She was transported to police headquarters to be processed. Judge Damian Murray was contacted and he set Ms. Sandella’s bail at $5,000 with no ten percent option. Ms. Sandella was later transported to and lodged into the Ocean County Jail in lieu of the required bail. She awaits court hearings in Stafford Twp. Municipal Court and Ocean County Superior Court. Patrolman John Morrin was the arresting officer.
