Barnegat Bay Partnership Now Accepting Applications for Education Grants
The Barnegat Bay Partnership (BBP) is now accepting applications for its 2013 Communication and Education Grant Program. Education is critical in addressing many of the issues, such as non-point source pollution, that impact the bay. The BBP is looking to support projects that will increase public understanding of the Barnegat Bay’s ecology and how humans impact it, promote stewardship of the bay’s ecosystem, and encourage public participation in its restoration and protection.
Only projects located within the Barnegat Bay watershed will be eligible for funding. The BBP will consider funding requests from $1,000 (minimum) to $10,000 (maximum). The deadline for submitting an application is December 14, 2012, and grant recipients will be announced by February 15, 2013.
Details about the 2013 Communication and Education Grant Program and the application forms are available on the BBP’s website at http://bbp.ocean.edu/pages/242.asp.
