Georgian Court Announces New Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach
Georgian Court University Director of Athletics and Recreation Laura Liesman announced today that Kerry O’Donnell has been tabbed as the third head coach in the six-year history of GCU women’s lacrosse.
She follows Jackie McGarrigle (2011–2012) and Michael Migliorisi (2007–2010) at the helm for the Lions.
“We are thrilled to have Coach O’Donnell join the GCU family,” saysMs. Liesman. “I have complete confidence that Kerry will keep our proud program in the upper echelon of the CACC while guiding our fine student-athletes to success both on and off the playing field.”
Coach O’Donnell, a former captain and All-American at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, joined the coaching staff of her alma mater upon graduation in 2008 as an assistant, contributing to the Profs’ back-to-back winning seasons and 2009 and 2010 NCAA Tournament appearances.
In 2012, Coach O’Donnell joined the high school coaching ranks as she served as an assistant with the Jackson Memorial girls’ lacrosse program while currently serving as head girls’ cross country coach at Jackson Liberty High School.
A three-sport athlete at Toms River East High School, O’Donnell earned team MVP and First-Team All-Ocean County honors during the 2004 girls’ lacrosse season. She holds a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Rowan University.
