Georgian Court University to Hold Halloween Spooktacular October 25th
Lakewood—Halloween is a night for carved pumpkins, costumes, and treats. But you don’t have to settle for the same boring routine. Residents of Ocean and Monmouth counties are welcomed to enjoy Georgian Court University’s Halloween celebration on Thursday, October 25. The university will host this “spooktacular” event from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Casino building on the Lakewood campus.
Activities include a ghost walk, haunted house, hayrides, storytelling, and refreshments. Guests will also be able to trick or treat on the first floor of Maria Hall. This is a drug- and alcohol-free event that is open to the public, and children of all ages are welcome to take part in the celebration. Costumes are not mandatory but welcomed.
“It’s a great option for trick-or-treating with your children and grandchildren in a safe environment,” says Erin McCarron, student activities coordinator. ”It’s a completely student-run event, and the GCU students have just as much fun as the children who attend.”
Admission is a donation of nonperishable canned foods. All contributions benefit Catholic Charities and will be distributed in the Lakewood area to help low-income families. All participants must RSVP by Thursday, October 22, to events@georgian.edu or 732.987.2606.
