St. Aloysius Students Host Clothing Drive
Jackson–On Saturday, September 29, the Saint Aloysius School Social Justice Group hosted a clothing drive. Over 40 students attended the event. The Drive took place from 9:00 a.m.to 12 noon and by the end of the clothing drive, students had collected over 5,300 pounds of clothes, shoes, and toys. Items were given to Fashion Republic, an organization that donates clothes to people in need. The Social Justice Group received $805.00 from Fashion Republic. The money will be donated to an organization chosen by the Social Justice Group. Students from The Saint Aloysius Social Justice Group would like to thank everyone who supported with the clothing drive. We hope you come out again in the spring.
The Social Justice Group of St. Aloysius School is open to all students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Our goal is to help our students think, feel, and act with justice. The Social Justice Group is a means of equipping students with knowledge, vocabulary and motivation for addressing social justice issues and problems.
