Resident Says Candidate’s Jersey Shore Photo Mockery of Political Process

Becoming a candidate in an election for a position on the Jackson Township Council is both a privilege and an honor.

It is a position that is respected and a job to be taken very seriously, knowing you must always act in the best interest of every resident of your town for the present and into the future.

Even as a young adult, it absolutely appalls me to see Bonnie Barrington, a candidate for Jackson Township Council, making a fool of herself and a mockery of this process by posing in a political t-shirt with someone from an MTV reality show and sending the picture to the press for publicity!  Really??  This is not an elementary school student council election…….this is the real thing…..It is an important position that takes a lot of dedication, hard work and maturity. Something Ms. Barrington obviously lacks.

Sincerely,
Amanda Hunkele, Jackson
