High School Football: #3 Lacey Beats Struggling Jackson Memorial

By Phil Stilton

Lanoka Harbor–Top  5 ranked Lacey held off a Jaguar attack on Saturday, defeating Jackson Memorial 45-28.   As Lacey continues their flawless 7-0 season in which they have dominated Class-A South and clinched a tie for the division title, Memorial drops to 1-6 on the year.

Lacey senior Bill Belford caught two touchdown passes in the game and linebacker Liam Dolly had two touchdowns from defense on top of his six extra point and one field goal kick.

Looking ahead, Lacey will have to get by without quarterback Tom Kelly as he suffered what may be a season ending broken collarbone injury.
