Toms River Goes Back to School Today with Transportation Changes in Silverton

A message from Toms River Schools Superintendent Frank Roselli:

Back to School Message from Toms River Schools:

For our families residing in the Silverton section of our Regional School District please be advised of the following:

All bus stops will remain the same for HS North, Intermediate East, Silver Bay Elementary as well as our private schools with the exception of the 4 bus stops on Green Island east of Wave Way and Green Island Road.

For those stu dents residing in the aforementioned location, your one new bus stop will be the corner of Wave Way and Green Island Road. This will remain until further notice.

On Monday if your child walks his or her normal route to Silver Bay Elementary, please know that we will have a detail of—6 police officers, 4 crossing guards, 8 security guards, and 4 district administrators on the primary walking routes to ensure the safety of our children.

On Monday, all walkers to Silver Bay Elementary School will be issued bus passes and until further notice we prefer all students ride their newly assigned bus to school rather than walk. This new transportation will begin Tuesday, November 13, 2012.
This is a most stressful and trying time for all. Please know that we are doing our best and appreciate your patience and support.
