Arrest Made After Investigation into Ocean County Area Drug Activity
TOMS RIVER–Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford announced the culmination of an investigation into drug activity in the Ocean County area.
On December 11, 2012 Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group along with members of the Berkeley and South Toms River Police Departments obtained and executed a search warrant for a residence located 218 Ardmore Avenue, South Toms River NJ. As a result of the search warrants police seized a quantity of heroin along with a quantity of Psilocybin (Mushrooms) along with a quantity of marijuana under fifty grams. Also seized as a result of the search warrant was approximately $1000 in cash as well as a digital scale.
The following individual was arrested and charged:
Joseph McCall age 27 of 218 Ardmore Avenue, South Toms River NJ. Mr. McCall was charged with possession of heroin under one half ounce with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, possession of psilocybin, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. McCall was subsequently released on a summons.
Assisting in the investigation as well as the execution of the search warrants were members of the Berkeley Township Police Department, South Toms River Police Department, the Ocean County Sheriffs Department K-9 Unit and the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team.
