Drug Busts Made at Multiple Sites in Berkeley, Beachwood and South Toms River
SOUTH TOMS RIVER–Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford announced today the culmination of an investigation into drug activity in the Ocean County area.
On December 7, 2012 Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group along with members of the Berkeley, South Toms River and Beachwood Police Departments obtained and executed search warrants for residences located at 31 Baylor Street, South Toms River NJ, 204 Admiral Avenue, Beachwood NJ, 265 1st Avenue, Berkeley Township NJ and 261 2nd Avenue, Berkeley Township NJ. Police also executed search warrants on four vehicles, specifically, a 2003 Green Chevrolet Suburban, a 2005 tan in color Lincoln Continental, a 2012 white in color Honda Pilot and a 1999 red in color Buick Regal. The aforementioned residences and vehicles were identified as being utilized to facilitate this drug distribution operation. As a result of the search warrants police seized over one ounce of raw of heroin, approximately 13 grams of cocaine as well as approximately $8400 in cash. Police also seized a quantity of Roxicet and Zanax prescription pills. Also seized as a result of the search warrants were materials associated with the packaging and distribution of CDS.
The following individual was arrested and charged:
Bobby Hardy age 41 of 31 Baylor Street, South Toms River NJ. Mr. Hardy was charged with possession of heroin over one half ounce with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, maintaining a CDS manufacturing facility and maintaining a fortified structure. The Honorable Superior Court Judge James Blaney JSC. set bail for Mr. Hardy at $250,000 cash only.
Randall Stubbs age 29 of 265 1st Avenue, Berkeley Township NJ. Mr. Stubbs was charged with possession of heroin under one half ounce with intent to distribute and possession of heroin. The Honorable Superior Court Judge James Blaney JSC. set bail for Mr. Stubbs at $15,000 no ten percent.
Clarence Grant age 29 of 204 Admiral Drive, Beachwood NJ. Mr. Grant was charged with possession of CDS (Roxicet and Zanax). Mr. Grant was released on a summons.
Nicole Villa age 28 of 204 Admiral Drive, Beachwood NJ. Ms. Villa was charged with possession of CDS (Roxicet and Zanax). Ms. Villa was released on a summons.
George Parker age 53 of 261 2nd Avenue, Berkeley Township NJ. Mr. Parker was charged with possession of cocaine. Mr. Parker was released on a summons.
Assisting in the investigation as well as the execution of the search warrants were members of the Berkeley Township Police Department, South Toms River Police Department, Beachwood Police Department, Barnegat Township Police Department, the Ocean County Sheriffs Department K-9 Unit, the New Jersey State Police K-9 Unit and the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team.
The media and public are reminded that criminal charges are merely accusations and that these defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
