Manchester Police Arrest Lakehurst Resident Responsible for Burglary Spree

Manchester–A three month investigation into a series of residential burglaries in the Crestwood Village VII section of Manchester Township led to the arrest of a 41 year old Lakehurst resident on December 11, 2012. Parry Lee Dupont was charged with three counts of burglary and two counts of theft for his involvement in three reported burglaries that occurred on September 21, 2012.

Dupont was observed by residents walking around the community with a hand-held spray pump, and on one account, posed as a utility worker to gain access into a residence. Bail was set at $30,000, no ten percent option.

He was transferred to the Jackson Township Police Department in lieu of charges in connection with a residential burglary in that jurisdiction. Additional charges against Dupont within the jurisdiction of Manchester Township are pending further investigation. The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, Criminalistics Investigation Unit and K-9 unit assisted with this investigation.
