Seaside Heights Submits Re-entry Plan to Governor’s Office

Picture2SEASIDE HEIGHTS–Seaside Heights is ready to allow people to starting coming back and extending access hours according to the borough website Sunday night.  ”We have submitted the following proposal to the County Office of Emergency Management for their consideration.” the message said.

Seaside Heights is ready to move forward with the following plan/schedule according to the message:

Monday, 12/17 – Allow anyone into Seaside Heights, without us having officers at the bridge or at any entry points, from 7am until 4pm. Allow any retail/entertainment businesses, which are ready, to be open during these same hours. Let people come and go whether they’re here to work or just coming over to get a bite to eat.

Monday, 1/7 – Start allowing full access, at any time by anyone, businesses can be open from 6am until 10pm and people can live in any units which are ready. All residential rentals will be required to obtain a new Rental CO prior to occupancy, the inspections for residential occupancy of any units will be done in a manner which we can handle with our staff. We will accept applications, and start doing inspections beginning Tuesday, 1/2. We will start with one and two family homes, by 2/1 we should be able to move to multi-family properties and by 3/1 hotels and motels could be inspected and approved as ready. Depending on the volume of applications and the length of time to issue the Rental C.O.s we may be able to move at a faster pace.
