Ocean County Special Ops Group, Toms River PD Make Drug Bust

TOMS RIVER–Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford announced today the culmination of an investigation into drug activity in the Ocean County area.

 

On December 19, 2012 Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group along with members of the Toms River Police Department obtained and executed a search warrant for a residence located 47 Walnut Street Apt.A-4 Toms River NJ. As a result of the search warrant police seized approximately 210 bags of heroin, a quantity of marijuana, a quantity of prescription pills (Suboxone and Oxycodone) as well as hypodermic syringes. Also seized as a result of the search warrant was $670 dollars in cash and a 1996 white Nissan Maxima, which was being utilized to facilitate the drug distribution activities of Shondale Latimer age 36 of Toms River NJ.

 

The following individuals were arrested and charged:

 

Shondale Latimer age 36 of 47 Walnut Street Apt A-4 Toms River NJ. Mr. Latimer was charged with possession of heroin under one half ounce with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, possession of CDS (Heroin) with intent to distribute while within 100 feet of a school, possession of CDS (Suboxone and Oxycodone), possession of marijuana and possession of hypodermic syringes. The Honorable Superior Court Judge Rochelle Gizinski JSC set bail for Mr. Latimer at $40,000 cash only.

 

Christina Rubino age 32 of 47 Walnut Street Apt A-4 Toms River NJ. Ms. Rubino was charged with possession of heroin under one half ounce with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, possession of CDS (Heroin) with intent to distribute while within 100 feet of a school, possession of CDS (Suboxone and Oxycodone), possession of marijuana and possession of hypodermic syringes. Ms. Rubino was released on a summons.

 

 

 

 

 

Assisting in the investigation as well as the execution of the search warrants were members of the Toms River Police Department Emergency Services Unit and the Toms Police K-9 Unit.

The media and public are reminded that criminal charges are merely accusations and that these defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
